Dr Waqar Malik has all his Cosmetic Surgery and Plastic Surgery training in the UK accredited units. He is fully trained by The British association of Plastic Surgeons, BAPS and The Royal College of Surgeons, England, certified in Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery, bringing a comprehensive surgical background and most up-to-date scientific information to his acknowledged expertise in cosmetic surgery.
He obtained his medical degree in 1983, becoming fully registered to practice medicine. He became fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburg in 1990 and obtained fellowship in Plastic Surgery in 1995 FCPS Plastic Surgery after completing his training.
Unlike many other cosmetic surgeons, he spent years in training and practice in breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. Dr Malik has been working as a consultant Plastic Surgeon since 1996. For the first 6 years since becoming a consultant. Dr Malik had an extensive experience in Reconstructive Surgery, with National Health Service and has been a pioneer in establishing a Plastic Surgery unit abroad. Since 2002 Mr. Malik is practising as an independent Cosmetic Surgeon in Harley Street London.
Dr Malik has a distinguished academic record and is the recipient of many honours. Today he has a successful aesthetic surgery practice in Harley Street attracting patients from around the world.
He has an enormous breadth of cosmetic surgical experience, having personally performed literally thousands of the major procedures. He has a particular interest in, abdominal and Nasal surgery. In addition, Dr Malik has both written and presented extensively on many aspects of plastic and aesthetic surgery.
Mr Malik is particularly noted for achieving a very natural appearance for his patients. In addition, by establishing a strong doctor - patient relationship with HIGH STANDARDS and with open channels of communication, Dr Malik feels he is able to fully appreciate a patient's goals and motivations, which are so critical to tailoring an appropriate treatment plan.
